With the instrument in playing position, and counting from the open top string to the open bottom string, it's tuned to D-G-B-E (like the first 4 strings of the guitar)

@authorbrianjackson.bsky.social I prefer the high G tuning, but I understand the appeal of low G and I prefer "nylon" string. Electric steel string is definitely a different instrument. If you are looking for new sounds and possibilities, go for it!
