I don't understand one thing: how do people make some stuff without the reference from another things?
All my projects get inspired from another artwork I, personally, like. Making something really unique is very rare nowadays.

Every time when I start using Unity/Godot as an engine I start feeling some disgust of it. By years of C/C++ programming I realized, that it's much easier to use DIY engine for games, because I have full control of what I do.

Where do you get the idea for the game you want to make?
I know that, mostly, people want to make some already exist game or even two, just like combine it together and whoala or something like that.
But, seriously, how do people get the unique ideas?

The hardest thing in Gamedev is to stay focused on a project for a long period of time and don’t get burned out.

Many of my projects got cancelled due to loss of interest (sad). But now I learned that I should take a more thorough approach to development. At least to think through design document.
