I believe there are good people who think they are doing a good thing by trying to see the good in Christianity, but I think they are being duped. I know it’s a harsh take, but that’s where I’m at with it.

All these arguments about “you’re not even following the teachings of Jesus” argument is pandering — it gives the benefit of the doubt, that the real teachings of Jesus are benevolent and pure. I don’t believe they are. I think giving into that underlying assumption is falling for a clever trap.

No, I’m saying I don’t believe the that Jesus was a good guy with good things to say that is simply misunderstood by crazy Christians. I think he was a character written by men in power to manipulate and control people (primarily women) so they could remain in power.
