It isn't the choice of the centers. Musk and/or Trump ordered the NIH to pull funding.

The loss of that context is one of the many heartbreaks of losing Making Light.

Pratchett was deadly serious. Not about fantasy tropes, but about morality and being human. Did you read more than the first few books?

Wow, that's a blast from the past!

Parmigiano and you've got actual Alfredo rather than the American interpretation (would have said bastardization but that's unkind to bastards)

Only unlikely if you don't know the history of chocolate!

There's residential real estate that isn't available as "homes", though, because it's viewed as investment instead of housing, and that's part of the problem. And where do we "just build more" that doesn't contribute to car culture? I'm a fan of density and infill but that's not popular either

The electric piano we have for our kid is infinitely better than the old wooden upright we had when I was his age, to say nothing of the shitty keyboards that were available then. The sounds are all sampled from a grand piano in a concert hall.

A pillowcase will hold a folded set of sheets and another couple of pillowcases (at least up to queen size, haven't tried larger). No more sets getting separated or mismatched, just grab the set.

Animal. (The Muppet). Totally unhinged, a terrible idea, and very funny.

I'm not sure about Granny Weatherwax. Nanny Ogg, though? She has zero interest in power.

The girls are pigs, and the boys are frogs. They're all one species with very pronounced sexual dimorphism

Saw that version on the big screen today. According to the introduction, that version was the one Disney used for the remaster.

I was wondering about Susan myself, probably because I'm in the middle of my annual read of Hogfather.
