It's the eternal dilemma of potential income vs fixed payment. You can get much more with royalties, but you can also get peanuts.

Mostly the story of my various musical and non-musical projects for the last 30 years LOL... They got me good jobs though...

I would even have gone as far as giving away 75-100% of the royalties on one song to the artist that would be willing to take the risk with my song. And the songs are good, trust me, if you like pop-rock-world music...

But I also understand it's a bet many would not be willing to take.
