I have finally found a recording of a Primitive Baptist Universalist service.

This group, in deep Appalachia, combines a lot of traditional primitive baptist theology and stuff like lining-out hymns with universalist theology. Very interesting

I worked as Mark's assistant on this project, booking candidates and lighting a bunch of these photos. It was very fun to track down all 13 candidates

Just saw Karan Kandhari's "Sister Midnight." I really loved it, well worth seeing in my view.

Visually beautiful, good feminist plot. Doesn't one-dimensionalize anyone

A friend gave me a kyocera samurai, a half-frame 35mm camera

It produces vertical diptychs if you scan it normally, which is kind of fun

This story in France is insane. The guy on the left has been barred from appearing as a comedian on a TV show because of his supposedly "salafi" appearance. Politicians complained from all parties but the far left.

Completely ridiculous

Replaced the bellows and cleaned the shutter on my folding Mamiya 6. It's a lovely camera, cheap compact 6x6. A great introduction to medium format

Mennonite political non-participation looks a lot better as a practice when you remember that they've only ever broken it to support the worst causes in human history

My brother and I converted an old Polaroid 110a to shoot modern instant film

We had to clean the shutter and lens, adjust the rangefinder and 3d print a bunch of parts

Works very well so far, an Instax Wide Rangefinder with an f4.7 lens and full manual control

The Irish War of Independence and Irish Civil War must have one of the highest ratio of folk songs written to actual casualties. For their historical significance, it's shocking how few people were killed (below 4000 between them).

I find it very hard to listen to any commentator/pundit on the broad "left" who opposed Sanders in '16 or '20.

Basic stuff imo
