A good first tell is the eerily still/smooth camera movement that perfectly follows the action. The subject and action always centre frame. Likewise, the people just don’t move in a human way. At the end of the video the cop walks into something without reacting, it’s not human.

There’s a high-level ignorance to the conspiracy. Of course ‘the state’ exists, she was told to quit, she’s too stubborn and stupid to do it herself. The ‘deep’ state, with all its allusions of hidden power, is pure nonsense, the control it would exert is coincidental at best.

And the rest of the article which goes into the most normal, noncommittal, "if they were good and customers wanted them". Click-bait nonsense from the BBC.

According to the stats, where they conveniently separate language levels, this 'English not first language group' is. largely conversational or fluent. The % of students in Glasgow who are new to English is 5%. So this wave of culture destroying immigrants is 5% of kids and 0.77% of the population.

If it was any asylum seekers, the Glasgow Times makes the point that the majority of increases come from Ukraine. Again this is all from 0.77% of the population. This school age population is 20,717 people who are English learners.

Just looked at the figure quoted in the article. It's 28.8 %, which is closer to 1/4 than 1/3... of the asylum seeking population it's 0.77% of the population of Glasgow. All this furore for 0.77%. This is an increase, based on better data collection methods. NOT more asylum seekers.

… You know subconsciously that you had no say in this. The ‘stake’ you hold is tiny and narrow. But your awareness is huge, everyone knows a story, and the antivax propaganda again thrives in this environment. The headlines, because no one reads articles, are dangerous for these reasons.

…vaccination. It is not being processed alongside of the consequences of not vaccinating. Even subconsciously this creates a specific narrative that anti-vaccine propaganda thrives upon. Additionally the ‘lever pull’ to vaccinate has been decided by the world’s most experienced lever pullers. …

For anyone struggling with these headlines. This is a real world trolley problem. Yes (if true) 10 child deaths are too many, a single death is too many. But you’re not being presented with how many children saved or possible deaths without vaccine. Mentally you are processing only the action of…

Speaking from the left, Farage and the right are important for a functioning democracy. The non-entity of the conservative opposition is part of the reason Labour have got so much wrong. However, British society has no place for racists.

Yes, I can speak for his Swiss residency-tax implications in the UK, he will only pay tax on UK earnings. So his business dealings, profits, simply money earned inside British territory are taxed by the UK. Switzerland actually has a wealth tax which is increased by an individual's holdings.

A lot of people misread the history and think we were all on some glorious crusade to stop Holocaust. It was, in the crudest sense, a diplomatic cock-up that tumbled out of control. If it weren’t for our alliance with Poland, we most probably would have done sweet FA.

I would argue that 100% have had their thinking manipulated by the algorithm. Be it becoming overly reactionary or believing that a problem is bigger than or smaller than reality based on how much or little you see. Even ‘the best’ of us being fixed into reactionary positions on gender or climate.

As in much of Europe. One of the great community building tricks of sport is the trip to the stadium. Those random encounters with people you ‘know’ because they have the same kit on as you. Even if you don’t talk, you still belong.

... This isn't to discredit the study. I think it is an important piece of work. But, it comes with a few pinches of salt which I think needed to be answered.

A link to the study. Although there are some flaws which I think are important to address. 1) 14 days was the time needed to classify someone as 'moved', e.g. the length of a good holiday 2) The average steps were still low, people walking 8k steps or more tended to be in lower walkability areas...
