We are so, so lucky to have this man in our lives. Those kids are even luckier.

Yeah totally. They need flexibility. Hopefully Devers learns to play 1B so when someone like Ramos needs a day off in the field, Devers can play 1b.

I also refuse to believe that Eldridge can’t learn to play LF. Just looking at him you’d assume he’d be able to at some point.

Yeah, true. So probably just a platoon between him and smith at 1b. Smith has played LF in the past, so theoretically they could put Ramos in right and smith in left if he continues hitting at that level but a platoon seems more likely. Encarnacion is hitting his way off of the team unfortunately.

He’s driven in the big runs for sure, but he’s not someone you base your offense around, and he’s cooled off significantly from his scorching start. I’d be shocked if he still doesn’t start 3ish days a week at first base and they sneak him in at 2b occasionally.

I definitely see what you’re saying, but as of now Eldridge is a 1b, Raffy is a DH, Chapman is a 3b.

Also Eldridge is an athletic 20 year old kid, who’s to say he can’t move to LF at some point if need be? In the short term, this deepens the bench with Wilmer as well.

Welcome back Baggs! Hope you had a great time on your adventure. Think you can play 1b tonight?

It’s okay, he’ll qualify for MVP.

Got it. Either way, very cool! They know how to put on a show and celebrate their history as good as any professional sports franchise.

Isn’t this the 26th season? 2000-2025

Oh, it 1000% makes up for all the horrible years. Even if they have 10 losing seasons in a row after Steph is gone, it’ll still be worth it. I’m just saying we know what it’s like to lose.

To be fair, they made the playoffs one time between 1992 and 2013. We know damn well what it’s like. 😅

If he goes to San Diego I’d be annoyed, but rather them than LA.

At least the Giants have a handshake commitment with the top international prospect this year. Would have been tough to get both, though I’m sure they could have found a way.
