Also go back to villains trying to kill Bond in hugely contrived ways that he will obviously escape from when they could have just shot him (as brilliantly parodied in the Austin Powers films). That last bit’s maybe just me though 😂

They are definitely overthinking this. Ignore NTTD and just write a standalone movie set in some unspecified time in Bond’s career. Keep Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw because they’re all terrific. No one will care because the franchise has never worried about consistency.
