To Danes and pretty much anyone else who makes plans, signs treaties, or creates long-term strategies using rational arguments, this way of making policy feels arbitrary, pointless, even surreal. But it is also now permanent, and there is no going back.

Volodymyr Rakov, a Ukrainian dancer, winner of the Everybody Dance! TV show, choreographer and artist, died defending Ukraine on January 6. He was 30 years old.

Volodymyr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
