It's that time of year again. For mutuals who are brave enough to share their RL address with me via chat, I'll send you a holiday card. Attached are some past samples. You don't need to send one in return, but I'll give you my address in a reply to your msg should you wish to do so. (1/2)

Evil Author has spent the morning making pie for tomorrow. Two heirloom apple on the left, Maine wild blueberry top middle, custard top right, Maine One Pie Pumpkin lower right. Not shown, butterscotch pudding pie sitting in the fridge. Tomorrow is cook, cook, cook & then haul food to (1/2)

The CPKC railroad got your message. There is a squirrel among the lights on their 2025 Holiday Train. (pic taken by me this past Saturday). They have a website showing the route of both trains found at: www.cpkcr.com/en/community...

Looks like they'll be in Toronto again this year, Sat. 11/29.
If I had Aldin's tail, I'd have froze it off last night. I had several layers on, but forgot a wind-blocking one. It was a good time. I got a few alright pics with my flip phone. I was excited to see a squirrel among the lights.

Sharing again now that I have a copy of my sketch. Pidge-Bites is open for these to help cover post-surgary expenses. Follow-back to the original for details or to share if you can't help with $$.

Well, maybe I've found something to work with. But I'm sure part of my lack of inspiration is the cloudy, cold, damp day. The sort of day where you just want to curl up with the hot beverage of your choice and nap. (art by @toonytacocat.bsky.social

In other news, I had shopped around prior to the meet and found myself at a holiday church bazaar/fair at lunch time. Had this huge bowl of homemade keilbasa corn chowder with a homemade roll. Excellent. I forgot I was wearing this shirt (art by @misterlemur.bsky.social) as I took my coat off(1/3).

I go with the others, Model A. For comparison here is one I saw at a car show this past summer.

These two are getting into trouble again. I'm sure it's the walnuts in this apple walnut cake that attracted them.

Here is Maine's answer, the Onawa train trestle. Actively in use by the Canadian Pacific (short cut to cut across Maine between Quebec and New Brunswick).

I wasn't too happy with last year's card. My two fav to date have to be sledding and the snow angel ones. I didn't draw one in 2019. I either used a commercial card or a photo of the plush squirrels. I don't recall which at this point. (2/2)

Only 10 weeks to Christmas. I need to figure out what I'm doing for a card this year. I don't view myself as much of an artist. I don't have the patience for it. But I can do some simple work with my feral character. Here are some of my past ones. (1/2)

As promised. I realized the lattice was too tight after I was half-way through making it on the cherry pie (bottom left). Oh well. Recipe called for 4.5 cups of cherries. Maybe if I had a tiny 8 in (20cm) pie pan and not a 10 in (25.5cm). I used all 8 cups I had frozen. I used the leftover egg (1/2)

*chitter* Team Squirrel here. I understand why you can't ship stateside anymore. Customs confiscated the potion and all I got was the t-shirt (back when you had Redbubble). *drooptail*

But it still looks good on my human mech!

Yanked from the back of a mid 1890's Children's Companion Magazine. The oldest continuously bottled soft drink in the USA (Moxie). But this ad is so wrong 'cause of the magazine it was posted in. "Incipient Paralysis" today can be cured with a script for a "blue pill" (starts with V).

How did I miss the original? Congrats.

Happy Raccoon Appreciation Day! Our local district's mascot is Kevy the raccoon. I created him 15 years ago. He is based off Maine's retired anti-litter mascot, TidyCoon, who predates the US Forest Service's Woodsy the Owl by seven years. KeVy has appeared on many event patches and other things.

A little slow at work today. Did an Internet search and now I'm scared. This one was commercially made back in the late 1980's, but it's pretty close to the one in the story. If I ever find it in RL, you're welcome to get skunked by me to see if it's cursed. :)

Hello my fellow fuzzies! I will be very busy in RL as I prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse (scout camporee) this coming weekend. The 63rd running of this scout camporee. The longest annual scout camporee in the northeastern USA. I will have little time/access to the net between now and (1/2)

IN RL, busy preparing for next weekend's scout camporee with a zombie theme. It should be a great time for the youth. I'm hoping for some rain 'cause with the current drought conditions we might not be allowed to have campfires.

Cute? Have Aldin enjoying some cocoa, art by @toonytacocat.bsky.social

Funny that you mention that. He and I have been keeping an international scout camporee alive. Next weekend is the 63rd annual event. The theme this year: Zombie Apocalypse. Here's the patch. Glow-in-the-dark thread or course. Scouts who attend will vote on next year's theme.
