A port side town near a mansion said to be quite cursed. And that's only regarding the mansion, as the town has its own dealings...

Aldermore is a town set next to the sea, as a result it became a port town. Boats and ships, but also has a mountain range on the other side, leaving a open range on one side. There's one way in and out for those by land, unless you can fly or otherwise.
