Great winter drink: Ok I’m sure I’m not the first to come up with this but I did think of it independently so I’m sharing it: Apple cider with a shot of bourbon, dash of your choice of bitters or squeeze of lemon optional.

These baby floofs had some GI distress —almost none of which made it to the litter box which is why they’re in rooms with easily sanitized floors—but they’re negative for all the bad things and have meds now. Enjoying the relief of being home.

I might have bought a baby monitor so I can keep an eye on my foster kittens and their mama. I may or may not be checking the feed every time I get a notification that “there is motion on Kittencam.”

I’m not saying I’m a cat whisperer because all this mama cat needed was to decompress away from the shelter, but within 48 hours she wants to hang out with me and her babies come running to greet me. Sweet to be so loved! 🥰 and they are of course VERY loved. 😻

I’m back in the kitten (foster) business! Three 3-week-old babies and their camera-shy tuxedo mama, from Brandywine Valley SPCA (DC campus). The box lasted 2 minutes til I saw little bandits escaping; now they’re in a slippery-sided laundry basket! (Heating pad is cat-safe btw).

Too much travel lately prevents my fostering for now so imagine my JOY when my daughter who works at a humane society brought home two fluffy baby voids last night to fatten up before being ready for surgery & adoption! Meet Olive (bigger)& Pickle (wee, shy)!

Great turnout, easily 2000+ (conservative estimate of what I could see), in Falls Church VA, thousands of cars passed hiking and waving flags. Even police cars honked as they passed. #NoKings

My daughter fostered a tuxedo girl who’d been abused, leg broken and not healed, had amputation and moved and jumped around JUST GREAT! Found a great adopter shortly after. 😻
