Where do I sign up 😏?

And also regarding the R8 vs. R6, the R8 doesn't have sensor stabilization. The official 50mm Canon RF lenses don't have stabilization either so that'd mean no stabilization at all with an R8.

This is the way. I'm also waiting for the announcement to see if it's worth it to replace my M50 (that Canon decided to completely abandon with the whole EF-M lenses as well 😭).

Sony should also be announcing their A7V soon as a direct competitor and refresh of the slightly older A7IV

For those wondering, it's from Latex Catfish. Between the wait times, the allergies that their latex triggered, and now this... I wanted to see if their stuff was worthy well I have my answer now. And they're now on my manufacturer shit list.

One thing to look out for is the water after this. Latex pieces that caused issues for me always tinted or clouded the water when letting them soak, so you could "see" that it was pulling something out. This meant what I was doing was working 👍

Lower quality latex's manufacturing residue is a known offender for me (stuff from latex catfish)
August 18, 2025 at 11:31 AM
Like this happens. Latex can absorb a lot of stuff (during manufacturing and after) and this can trigger reactions.

What worked for me is letting the offending pieces soak in hot water + latex cleaner for longer than usual, then one round again with hot water (no cleaner), then dip shining.

I have skin issues and while they don't tend to be triggered that much by latex (at least, not anymore than other sources of skin trouble), they manifest as insanely itchy very specific areas like you described.

For latex, the best I managed is to thoroughly clean the latex itself after something..

And they'd be the hardest to migrate off from. Their services are really good technically, but the user experience is so terrible.

Customer support is also basically useless on AWS for small accounts, they're selling to businesses first not indies. Other hosting providers are more approachable on that front in my experience (DO, OVH, etc.). Also AWS is politically the most likely to update their T&C to ban porn overnight...
August 18, 2025 at 11:24 AM
DO is good and friendly to start with, I wouldn't say the same for AWS. The AWS console has wizards to guide through the initial setup, but then it's sprawling mess of dependent services that's hard to get a grasp of (looking at you, IAM). Especially once you have billing issues...

You're thinking of uploading. It's not scientific, but working in the field that's how we usually estimate things (start from something you know, increase it because it could be off + it'll increase over time).
August 18, 2025 at 11:19 AM
Available as a starter option could be good (DigitalOcean, OVH, Hostinger, etc.). Look out for storage (how much stuff you can keep permanently there) and monthly bandwidth (how much you can send to users during a month). Ideally you want unlimited bandwidth, and 2-3x storage compared to what...

I know it's a WordPress site by looking at the source, but I don't know who's the hosting provider. However just like others mentioned in the thread, if you feel like going for a WordPress site any (good) hosting provider that's fine with porn and has options to start with a WordPress already ...

It's a trade-off. The more you want customization the more time it'll take to create *and maintain*, so the simpler options that get you 90% of the way there may be really worth it. Computer touching can get horribly time consuming so keep it simple so you still have time to make art to post there!
August 17, 2025 at 8:21 AM
... Which would give you more customization options in terms of appearance and functionality, but may also be more expensive (good quality plug-ins and themes are usually not free). Shiri's website is built that way for example shiriallwood.com
August 17, 2025 at 8:14 AM
It really depends on your proficiency with computers and the time you want to spend on it. There are dedicated portfolio sites hosts which could be a good fit (www.hostinger.com/portfolio-we... looks okay, and T&Cs don't ban porn), or you could get a generic WordPress host (at hostinger as well)...

They'll all have similar conditions since a hosting provider can't host illegal content in the country they operate in anyways, but some of them will have stricter rules than this (which is better than vague "morals" like Hetzner's), so it's something to look out for.
August 16, 2025 at 11:08 PM
One thing that tends to be overlooked for hosting this stuff is the hosting provider's terms and conditions. Hetzner for example will terminate your account without notice for "[T&C 8.2] pornographic or obscene material [...] material that could seriously endanger the morals of children"
August 16, 2025 at 11:06 PM
I tend to not really have "normal" stuff I'd enjoy sharing on the internet so... Kink account only for me!

For the organizing side of things, picard.musicbrainz.org does auto tagging and renaming pretty nicely
