After attending a Martin Luther King Day Commemoration, I went to this one at a church where MLK gave a sermon in 1960. Then I did volunteer work the rest of the afternoon. I still cried, but I needed to hear the message to keep fighting and to be with hundreds of others from my good community.

I use DMC diamant embroidery thread on my lightweight origami birds. They hang very nicely. (The thread is long because I hang them elsewhere the rest of the year).
