We're all familiar w a cascading effect. In fact it's such an effect - over decades - that nudged us to where we are now. Where is that? Well, LOTS of debt. Gov, consumer, student, etc. AND an economy where pay doesn't keep pace with everything else. Empty cargo ships? If only it were that simple

The problem is, even at the local level gov has replaced our need for a sense of community. We used a come together to raise a barn. Now we just pay our taxes and presume someone else will use that to take care of whatever needs there are. They often do. But that doesn't create true community.

We're a long way from 13 states and a Federal gov that didn't collect income tax. The FFs would lose their minds if they saw how bloated Uncle Sam is now.

The goal isn't to inform. The goal is to show you "news" that keep you engaged so you watch / see the ads. That *is* the biz model. Full stop. Any "useful information" that happens is an accident. In short, what you noticed is no surprise.

The Problem is more fundamental than that. We don't have capitalism and free markets. We have Crony Capitalism (which effectively has nothing to do with Capitalism). We don't have fair and proper regulation, we have regulation that picks winners and losers. The System is rigged.
