i can get behind emphasis like "meGAmeter," (rhymes with parameter) but not "MEgaMEter" (rhymes with heater)

While 0C is fine, 100C is boiling water. I'm not water, I die way before I boil. Also, 80C will burn me, not just 100C.

But the temps that we use daily are nonsense in C. Is 20C hot or cold? There's nothing to intuit. Also each degree is "big" so people need decimals to differentiate. No need in F.

Imperial units are good for 2 things.
1. Temperature. 0 to 100 for human feelings of cold to hot.
2. Poetry. "I would walk a thousand kilometers" doesn't quite hit.

Necessity should also drive education. With the overload of stats that get thrown at us in the internet age, I believe stats fundamentals need to be baked into our brains from a very young age. Interpreting data is very quickly becoming a core survival skill.
