That one looks awesome, Mike!

Usagi is one of my all-time favorite characters...

Is this about formats? For translations I do my final documents in LibreOffice (OpenOffice's still free and open successor) and save as docx so my editor has no issues about the type of file, which used to be a problem with OO's output...

If that fails, someone should buy the rights to Brubaker and Epting's Velvet and do it anyway...

I know! But I was supposed to be working... Besides, it was a rare show for me, because it was the first one I wasn't with one of the guests behind a table, but in the auditorium. If I remember right, at that show I hosted the panels with Gerry Conway and Adam Kubert, and translated a few others.

Fernanda was like our specialist on indie creators! Which is good, 'cause she always let me knew when any of you were running out of a book I wanted. Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. We met and chatted just briefly about our shared love for 80s action flicks.

When I was part of the group of interpreters at La Mole, in Mexico, we tried to do all that... even if the last part wasn't guaranteed. I hope you got a good service out of it when you came here.

Yeah... I think that, if it fits your world-building, you can state a reason. Otherwise, just have fun with it, or get some characters who echo Obi-Wan: "An elegant weapon from a more civilized time," and forget about justifications.

Heh. I didn't think to look it up. I spent five minutes trying to remember in which old SF novel I had read that explanation...

I agree you don't need justification, but it can be done. In "The Paradox Men" by Charles L. Harness, personal force fields immune to high speed projectiles are common, so many warriors carry swords and knifes. Or you could argue the risk of breach and decompression aboard ships an space stations.

Yeah, thanks. The image on Dark Horse's website seemed way darker than my copy, but I couldn't find a brighter one that wasn't almost a thumbnail...
By the way, I love your work, and was also a fan of The World Below!
