It's genuinely mind boggling how many times I thought I was nearing the end when that was not at all the case. The movement and gameplay is one of the smoothest I've ever experienced and the exploration/bosses are superb. It is truly a masterpiece.

The amount of content and the quality of each area/boss is incredible. It feels like a hand crafted world (because it is I suppose) that you can get immersed in easily, thanks to the sheer consistency of quality the game offers. It has a special place in my heart and I can't wait for Silksong!

...and the controls are as responsive as they could be. Hollow Knight is what got me invested in indie games and games in general. I've played it during the lockdown and my first playthrough took me 88 hours. Never once did it feel like a drag, which I know some games struggle to balance...

That magic dog can fuck off. The initial fight isn't even bad I just hate the random non-boss versions.
