I view the next 4 years with a lot of optimism while understanding the worst may come.

Trump’s election makes prognosticating the future job market very difficult.

And yes, even though there is inefficiency, a lot of this is the lack of legislation to provide support for what we needed.

So in some way, I think these two will discover how government was left to languish. In many ways, they are just here to finish cleaning the mess past GOP leaders made.

I don’t even need to read Elon and Vivek’s justifications. What I do know is they like firing people out of glee, not knowing the downstream impact that the unemployed have on family, kids, and more.

They are too rich to care, much less know that the govt is underfunded, which causes inefficiency.

The year is 2028. Another election year.

Trump has purged the generals. The Dept of Education is gone. We have withdrawn from NATO. NPR, NEA, Dept of the VA, social security, National Parks service, and Medicare are privatized. The EPA is a quasi-government agency responsible for oil management.

One thing I’m going to do here versus every other social network I’ve been on is be ruthlessly curative of what comes across my feed.

Which means I’m unfollowing @nytimes.com and enjoying @sonic.bsky.social.

We live in such a different world. When I went home to see my mother this past weekend, she remarked how Biden had called her and other Trump supporters garbage.

And for someone who had largely never been political, she also seemed to take the comment very personally. (1/x)

Hello world. I signed up because this is where it seems like the reasonable people are going. I'm not sure how much I'll use it, but I'm here to offer some thoughts from time to time.

Gone are the days where I build personal brands off these things. For that, you'll have to go visit Albert's List.
