Doodlepile of my design for a "babyfied" version of the Frankenstein monster Bird from Puzzle Freak. I try to stay as close to the original design as possible, yet adding some creative flair making it appear more baby-like. The doodlepile features different expressions and positions(including a "roar", which is not intimidating at all). My version of baby Albert from Puzzle Freak. Again, I try to stay true to the original design, but also use creative liberties to make it appear more baby-like. Just like with the doodlepile of Bird, also features different expressions and positions(including Albert hugging his favorite stuffed bunny).

Happy Halloween! I know this isn’t especially Halloween-y(or maybe it is?), but Bird’s a Frankenstein monster, and that’s often a Halloween costume, so why not? Also, why’s holding dolls of his friends? All I will say is that when he’s alone, he still keeps them close to his heart.

This morning(October 30th) I received a brand-new package of Faber-Castell color pencils, and this is the first drawing I did with them. This is not an new OC, btw, but an OC I redesigned over the years. Her name now is Lady Agani Blackmire, the owner of the Lopsided Castle and an enigmatic queen.

Yet another 10+ year old character making a grand return after such a long time. This is PhD2500(Model X-7), a robotic replica of Albert. Now one would ask "Why would someone make a robotic replica of Albert in the first place?" No one will ever know, all that is known is that whatever intentions was originally ingrained into its mainframe were not good, so PhD completely reprogrammed itself to turn against its evil creators and kill them all, destroy the facility it was made in and seek its "template". It was jarring to see a robot that resembled Albert, but of course there's visible differences. And PhD STRONGLY resents being called "AlBot", because it does not want to even imitate its template's identity! PhD was built with an interesting set of systems of charging itself up: Solar(which comes in the shape of the wild hairstyle Albert has), a matter-to-energy incinerator(PhD eats strictly to fuel the matter-to-energy incinerator), and a special system in which sleeping allows recharge(and when it sleeps, it really does enter a stage of genuine sleep). PhD does convey very strong emotions, particularly bashfulness, joy, sadness and anger(especially when called AlBot), and it can emote with its "eyelids", but the screen in front of its chest conveys more emotions.

Been a while, so have a new(ish) character, Chubchub's Aunty Kalani.

The aunt of lizard Chubchub, Kalani(alongside her husband, Chubchub's Unko Paddy) lived in Hawaii for a long time. Throughout the many years of their marriage, Kalani was a hula dancer, amongst other traditional dances of other cultures. When she's not teaching dancing, she's reading "Island Herbals", a guidebook about the usage of plants from places like Hawaii. She's also quite efficient in "La'au Lapa'au", a medical practice from Hawaiian natives(like Kalani). She's almost never seen without some kind of flower on her crest, whether it's a hibiscus or something other.

This birthday wound up being one I'll cherish for years to come. 30 is quite significant(so much so that my family wound up getting gifts anyways!)
This fall-colored bouquet of flowers is one of the things I received, and it definitely suits the occasion. And there's nothing better than homemade carrot cake and good company to have it with!

Meet Reep-Jeep(or RJ for short), an exile from the main Yehat homeworlds. He was exiled because he was born with a malformed wing... which is unfair, because he is rather young, but has the heart of a warrior. He went to Beta Wolf to find refuge in a place that accepts exiles, and he fit right in. He is (nearly)unshakable.

Not a new fancharacter, but a fancharacter I've just recently added more depth to, Robin Blackmoor. While young(in appearance), Robin is surprisingly intelligent for a Frankenstein's monster. Not long after he awakening, Robin started to pursue the study of magic. Particularly, the art of alleviating ailments that can only be banished through spells. Not only that, but she also wound up specializing in spells and medicines ideally made for curing ailments in fellow monsters. There are few things in the world more inconvenient than something that normally does NOT get menial illnesses like colds or fevers than when Monsters get sick in some way! Such is the case for Robin's aid in banishing Franken-Fever from Bird when he was afflicted with it.

A digitally-done portrait of a Puzzle Freak fancharacter of mine, Bonnie Kimmi, the daughter of Albert Kimmi. Whenever Bonnie arrives, Albert is fiercely protective of her. Because a certain man wants to try and take Bonnie away because he assumes her to be a witch. Bonnie even tells her father that this man creeps her out, so she has no interest in running away with this name anyways! His belief that she had magic powers were correct, but what she's capable of is actually quite surprising: She can shapeshift into a Pooka! Bonnie is often adorned with a headband with rabbit ears she attached herself and carries a bag with a holographic image of the moon. Did this in Gimp for a change, because I finally have a computer with much better graphical capabilities than my old Clunker does! I won't be doing digital art commissions however, because I am not confident in doing digitally done commissions via a mouse yet!

Since I so hastily put together that commission sheet, I figured I'd put up some examples of what you might get here. Alt text has explanations.

A favorite of mine featuring more fancharacters, Melnorme Lavender and her Umgah sister-in-arms, Officer Oo'na posing for a photo. A sample of a Detailed Color drawing: Lineart, color and details like shading, shine and a few additional details, but does snot have a complete background. Another favorite of mine, this is a stylized Albert in winter clothes. A sample of a "Complete" drawing: Inked, colored, shaded and has a complete background. This is a drawing of Penny and Rusty having one of their minor rivalries.

A handmade plush of my Melnorme fancharacter, Lavender. She's made with various materials that I reclaimed, mostly articles of clothing that either do not fit or are unwanted. So it's hard to say EXACTLY what materials she's made of, lol. Additional notes: No sewing machine was used in the creation of this plush, it's ALL sewn by hand! I also did NOT use or even MAKE patterns for this plush either, because when my mind's set to making a plush like this, I usually have a good idea of how it'll turn out when it's finished. Second photo, this time a close up(include my hand for scale). You can see the additional embroidery I did for the eye, mouth and freckles. As always, embroidering the freckles was a HUGE pain in the neck! But I AM happy with how the embroidery of the teeth and around the eye turned out.

Rusty and Penny have a minor “rivalry” between them, but that’s for a good reason: Penny used to be a part of a rather vicious group of space pirates. What Rusty has not come to acknowledge(yet) is that the rest of that pirate crew is dead and Penny’s the only remaining member of that crew left. But hold on, how does Rusty know Penny was a part of that pirate crew?? It turns out that Beta Wolf was actually pilfered by that pirate crew, but he never saw Penny in the group that robbed the village of valuable goods. So Penny has to remind Rusty that she’s no longer a pirate and that she has come to regret being that way from when she was a rather young woman. Penny does tease Rusty, but this is (semi)friendly teasing, but Rusty does NOT like it when Penny does this!

Tried something different with this particular piece: color only background. I imagine that a Melnorme ghost would take on the color they’re named after. In the case of Lavender’s dearly departed mother, Rose-Red, a rosy shade of red. Apart from adoring her daughter’s handiwork and being proud of her, what is Rose-Red’s ghost doing here? Surely, she has something important to say, right?

Rusty-Red and Lavender making love. I headcanon that Melnorme are a livebearing species, so don’t be surprised that they would also breed like a livebearing species too! Also using Lavender’s, *ahem* busty look here. Part of the reproductive headcanon also adds that female Melnorme do have teats, but they’re normally small and easily hidden. Lavender’s case is a little unfortunate, as her teats got big as a result of super wild hormone swings throughout her equivalent of puberty.

Tuna sandwich with a savory pancake in place of bread. The pancake was made with 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of almond flour, a small scoop of coconut flour, a tablespoon of sour cream, a dash of baking soda, a good sprinkling of onion powder and Everything Bagel seasoning. For finagling it, everything turned out quite good. :)

A young Rusty-Red. Many grownups say he’s an absolute sweetheart who is always polite, friendly and even loving towards his many friends. However, he has a lot of lines drawn already. He already doesn’t like when friends get into trouble or getting involved in their issues, under fear of being caught and punished. Although if he were punished, his parents never give him anything that lasts long or a ban. A chore like vacuuming the living room or washing a big pile of dishes is enough to compensate for whatever trouble he gets into. And no child ever likes getting yelled at, and Scarlet and Carmine know this.

Rusty-Red(Melnorme with tripolomassia), Beeb'Ob(Umgah), Sergeant Plibnik(Spathi), Patinzo(Wolpertinger-like fan species of mine, the Isel) and Mugsy(another fan species, the bio-floral Mosch), grouped together, possibly greeting a client. Since these friends have grown attached over the course of the time they worked together, they assumed the name the "Cargo Bay Boys", because of their line of work in cargo moving. Rusty's tripled body mass helped him become quite possibly, one of the universe's strongest Melnorme, while Patinzo(named because of his tin-gray coloration) is also New Isella's strongest Isel. Beeb'Ob and Plibnik's jobs are to ensure that there is no missing cargo stolen by others they are delivering their cargo of refines metals and other valuable resource units. Mugsy is typically close by, because Mosch are natural power generators and, if wearing it, powers a suit Rusty wears sometimes, either to enter planets without air, high pressure or extreme temperatures. One thing they have in common; They're very friendly and always greet their clients.

Banker Pearl and her husband Taupe. Taupe was originally born conjoined to his long since deceased brother Chestnut. Separation from Chestnut resulted in stunting Taupe’s growth, but at least he survived the many therapies that allowed him to live a healthy life! He and Pearl met in school as children and Taupe was immediately smitten by Pearl. She was the most incredible thing he had ever, not only because of her tripled body proportion, but also the way she was able to swim. Ever since they met eyes, the two were inseparable, to the point of getting married.
