There was no “deal” the natives in BC today flat out rejected it in a written declaration to the feds and the province of Alberta. Smith has until July to get some sort of deal together, but no oil companies are interested. This whole thing was a stunt for her base.

Why? Becuase it’s never going to happen that’s why.Did you read it? There’s not going to be a scenario where private industry,the BC government and indigenous peoples ever agree to a pipeline in that area.It’s a nonstarter. Carney knew this when he signed the agreement with smith.
