First look at the basic AI in my RTS game! Villagers roam, buildings puff smoke like they're in a steampunk BBQ competition, and the forest isn't gonna chop itself.
The AI gathers, builds, and pollutes... just like real civilization.

The current state of the prototype of "Trails of Suebia". You can do pretty much anything you'd expect from a Real-Time Strategy game. The Rogue-lite features are also already in there. Now it's all about content... 🫠

Just worked on the Interface a bit more. Im quite pleased with it now. Had to rewrite loads of stuff under the hood to make it behave like that and started using the xml-based UI Toolkit instead of the legacy UI System of Unity. What do you think?

- Fully working dynamic Fog of War

My RTS running on a handheld running Linux at 120fps. Not that it is optimized or any fun to play without a mouse..

I'm quite pleased with how the Fog of War came along today. Managed to do it quite performant aswell (tested on integrated Potato Intel UHD GPU) using a mixture of tiling the map and a compute Shader in unity. Objects know if they've been "explored" aswell.
