This feels tangentially related to the game in PKDs The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch, in which players translate into the game board using a drug, but then often end up crowding into the same playable characters. Consequently, they are an inchoate force animating a single actor

That's what I did. That's what I feel. It feels uncanny that you could see that without first trying. Also, it has never been more than fractionally complete, but it turns out you can just grep your way across any sufficiently regular structure
