Free parking for Blue Badge holders will soon return to Wiltshire, a huge step forward for fairness, accessibility, and inclusion.

This victory means that people with disabilities will once again have equal access to our towns and services, without facing unfair costs.

I was down there with @nawbaker.bsky.social a few weeks ago on a recce and a litter pick. One of SCC’s Street Scene Teams arrived just as Nick left. Three separate fly tipping instances were reported on MyWilts and we are working to see if a solution to the mess can be found.

Earlier this week I had the privilege, as deputy mayor, of being a distinguished guest at one of the regular Citizenship Ceremonies held in Salisbury. We welcomed eleven new British Citizens from eleven different countries. A fun and happy morning was had by all!

I had a really productive time at the Wiltshire Climate and Environment Summit Business Day last Friday, including seeing the new electric Refuse Collection Vehicle currently being trialled by Wiltshire Council. It was great to see so many Wiltshire-based businesses represented.
