Maybe add cream cheese and a diced jalapeño and spread on a bagel? We eat lots of salmon - smoked and otherwise - here in Alaska. Sometimes it pays to get creative. 😉😊

Good tip! Another rule of thumb when determining which species of bear has left scat in your area is to examine the scat closely. If it contains jingle bells and smells of cayenne pepper, the scat was left by a grizzly. 🐻

Yes, I think you’re absolutely correct; the bear was simply looking on curiously. (It probably wasn’t used to having its picture taken. 😉) I’m glad your encounter in Jasper turned out OK! 👍🏻🐻😊
