I gave up on marvel because all the little cross-references ("As seen in Amazing X-Men #54!") were both homework and expensive so I just gave up on them.

I also recall being told that as they're using the original script with modifications the original writers don't have to be re-payed.

My favourite thing about that era was the car that you could "win" on 3-2-1.
It was a year's free rental of the car, after which you either bought it off YTV at market rates or handed it back to them, to stay within IBA prize rules.
