Aha, pardon me:) the title choice is very deliberate for sure, and there’s definite echoes of the Clarke story

That being said they’re all various levels of fun. Anderson stories are rarely bad and a lot of the stuff in these volumes is great

It might also just be my issue with the fondness 2000ad had, for a loooooong time, of playing the reprint hits. But then again, the shorter, far better, stories in this series wouldn’t exist without sodding Shamballa being reprinted yet again.

I think a lot of what doesn’t work for me anymore is the passage of time, weirdly, combined with the weird release schedule. Cass quits at the end of Childhood’s End, in volume 3 and is an active service judge in the next story. While her actual return to duty is explored in the previous volume.

This sounds fun! Who’s the author?

Confirmed as a writer on a new show, prepping to record for a new genre, looking at actual breath training, and diving into a lot of process:)

Oh God yeah, me too. Loved that.

Right?! Such a neat mission statement for the series, and a sense that something is ongoing, but closure if needed. Love it.
