The Chinese University of Hong Kong has NASPAA accreditation, and this statement is consistent with NASPAA's own view that democracy, human rights, and academic freedom are merely "ideological" concerns that should not influence accreditation decisions in any way.

In a note distributed today, the accrediting organization for public policy schools, NASPAA, explains why its standards omit reference to academic freedom, the rule of law, or human rights: that would be "ideological."

But the standards do include DEI, which of course is not ideological at all.
