Russia achieved its military goals in Georgia and now occupies 20% of its territory. They then expanded into Ukraine while the West watched. The war paused briefly after the Minsk agreements, but Russia ignored them and came back for more. This is their pattern.

As for Putin’s intentions, you need only listen to his ramblings on the fall of the USSR to understand his ultimate ambition, however far-fetched it may seem now. For Ukrainians, the idea of Russia invading was also once far-fetched. My warning to the West—don’t mistake ambition for bluster.

Not in scale but in pattern of aggression and disregard for sovereignty. As for Georgia, the conflict there ended with Russia’s continued occupation and influence—no peace deal stopped them from advancing their agenda; they continued their expansion into other territories.

Russia’s actions—Georgia, Crimea, Donbas, and Ukraine writ large—prove they ignore peace deals. What’s stopped them in their tracks is military action, not diplomacy. Appeasement didn’t stop the Nazis, and it won’t stop Putin. Putins victory will embolden aggressors, just as the Nazis did.

If allies hadn’t supported Ukraine, it might already be Russia—followed by Moldova, Poland, and the Baltics. Providing aid to free people defending themselves doesn't advance the chance of a WW, the invasion of a sovereign free does, which will only keep happening unless Ukraine wins.

I think it's kinda not up to us - unless you believe any aggression shouldn't be responded to militarily in the chance it might take us closer to a WW.

come on don't be a coward. It is WWIII if you haven't noticed already.
