I wonder what difference it would make if we included it in our statements of faith!?

Great word. Reflecting on that verse was a lightbulb moment for me.

It sounds like this is published? Presumably only the GM is reading the adventure so nothing should be a surprise to them. Warn away! There are some games I just wouldn't pick up if I knew they dealt with certain themes.

... I want to sit *under* Scripture, not 'exegete it away', but there's clearly more going on than what a simplistic complementarion reading would suggest. I'll dig into your articles more. Thanks.

My main issue has been 1Tim, which I've just held as a tension in the light of other Scripture. The theology does seem more fleshed out and grounded in creation/fall. It's the main passage I'm concerned about...

1Cor 14 I likewise have taken as situational. My wife grew up in PNG where men and women sat on opposite sides of the church and the women would call out to their husbands! Whatever else is going on, in the context of 1Cor, it doesn't seem to be a blanket ban on women speaking in church.

The 1Cor 12 passage has been less of an issue for me, I have always taken it as cultural as far as head coverings go. And is head coverings about a 'hat' or a hairstyle? I like your exegesis.

Sorry for the looong delay, I haven't been on Bluesky. Timothy I'm still working through. For some reason, I only recently discovered (through Michael Bird) that authentein is a hapax and probably means what you've defined it as. So that's new information!

I'm egalitarian so please don't take this as an attack, but i don't think you can say Paul is limiting these verses to only those churches. While it's true he is speaking to specific churches, he is clearly drawing from broad principles (like creation). I think there are better ways of dealing.
