Clonakilty seems to be one of the more sturdy ‘new’ Irish distilleries. Hoping they get a chance to mature their offering. #bottlekill #moreirishwhiskey

My sister makes the best Irish coffee. Wouldn’t be Xmas without it.

Home for the holidays. Glad to find this in the family cupboard. An elegant drop, and lovely to back.

Loch Lomond Distillery Edition 4. Really interesting. I may be losing my mind but I got banana, melon, and refresher sweets on the nose. A smack of damp on the palate. Didn’t take water very well. Big fan though

A welcomed free gift after buying a bottle of Elijah Craig. A big fan of the 105. It’s a confident, moreish bastard so it is and it knows it. Here’s to the weekend!

Black Friday sales are killing me. Need to empty the shelves. #bottlekill for the Talisker. The peaty stuff is becoming hard work in my old age to be honest. Give me the sweet stuff.

3 long hard days working in Berlin. Home to a drop of Dingle whiskey. I swear it’s changed a lot over the course of the bottle but I could be talking shite. Always things to discover with this one though. Slainte

Bushmills 10 is an underrated drop. I got this for about £24. And you don’t get a lot for that price when it comes to Irish whiskey.

A morose bottle kill after a disappointing night for Ireland. Nothing like a depressant to chase the blues away.

This Thompson Bros really is a tremendous whisky. All treacle/golden syrup on the palate.

Sure what else would you be buying of a Tuesday? Looking forward to opening this.

First cask strength bottle. At 57.1% it’s a fairly easy sip - considering the abv. Stewed apples about all I can get.

It’s a one in, one out policy at the moment and this is on its last legs. Eyeing up the Auld Goonseys Mannochmore 13 as the next one.

They can’t all be new discoveries. It’s a classic for a reason. Slainte

Picked up Chita single grain for £34 at duty free. Never tried it before but seemed like a decent price to test it out.

@honesttoamalt.bsky.social enjoyed the episode on Springbank. Having never tried it I fear anything short of a religious experience will fail to live up to the hype. The lowly Glen Scotia Double Cask has scratched the itch so far but will try the Ledaig 10 on your recommendation
