Using straw bales to heat the greenhouse kind of works. It heats the greenhouse, unfortunately it mostly involves using Urea based nitrogen fertilizer. After a few days the smell was so bad it hurt my eyes. Gonna try again with black plastic covering the bales.

I have been working on being less of a contrarian lately. My main approach has been when someone says something that is not 100% correct I try to respond with how they are correct rather than on how they are incorrect.
It is a process, but it has yeilded positive results.

Well today I scattered a bunch of milkweed seeds in some garden beds, the side yard, the back yard and in the woods by the highway near my house. My initial plan was to try to and plant them properly, but the amount of seeds I bought (~12,000) made that task seem insurmountable to my ADHD brain.

I find being outraged to be draining, so my basic plan is to ignore most of the Trump shit show, work to build community, build relationships, and improve things in ways that best suit my skill set. So if you're constantly outraged, I don't hold ill will towards you, but I am likely to block you.

So apparently when you click on a response you need to scroll up your browser to see the rest of the thread. I had not known this and I have been replying to people based upon my best guess about where in the thread it was. Learning new apps is a process

Bluesky needs to add a way to mute certain images because I am tired of seeing the same thin skinned children whining about things they're too lazy to understand. I am not saying they shouldn't whine, I'm just saying I don't need to see it a dozen times.

So I was looking out my back window and I thought the sunset looked like a skyline. 10 minutes later I remembered my east & west and realized the Raleigh skyline was just being highlighted by the setting sun.

If a fox barks at you don't bark back. They bark to establish territory and will run at you thinking you're a rival fox. That is why now when I hear a fox barking I just say hello so that it understands that I am a human.
