If I could communicate one thing about vintage electronics it's that if something older than 20 years has been sitting around for a long, long time, DO NOT JUST TURN IT ON.

Fwiw, they're called sankey diagrams and there's a bunch of tools for making them if you have the raw data. They can get considerably more complex.

I resolved it eventually. I’m just explaining why I bounced off it the first time. In a large code base you inherit, it can daunting when suddenly everything complains.
And ‘you might not need an effect’ is great btw. I stole the tick cross emoji thing for my own docs. :)
