The dogs of the No Kings protest in Atlanta. Despite only being 6-months old, Rahul Bose, sitting in front of the "No kings, No ICE" poster, is a frequent protester, starting with the Tesla Takedown protests earlier this year.

"Ruff," he said.

In case anyone would like to join me in wishing this good boy a happy birthday, Cortez turns seven years old today.

He's getting gray fur around his snout and I literally shed a tear the other day because of it.

I'm counting about, at least, 600 people at the protest, but it could easily be over 1,000. I can only post 60 seconds but the march went for another minute.

I'm all strapped in for Alabama 2025 Legislative Session, which starts today. I'll be covering the Senate, @annabjournalist.bsky.social will be in the House. Excited to start my 5th session (two regular, two special down), though I feel like I'm just starting to scratch the surface of #alpolitics.

The ending of this email about the DEI lawsuit I wrote about yesterday has got me a bit confused. I'd say I'm a bit ambidextrous but definitely am not left-handed.
