2 new books out this month. My first book from Insight Editions – Captain America: The Illustrated History and Daredevil: The First 60 Years from Titan. All this and a guest spot at the first Liverpool Book Festival next month. It's enough to make me feel like a writer. Take that Imposter Syndrome!

Hold on. Pilks old head office in my hometown of St Helens is the spitting image of the Baxter Building... but there's no Fantastic Four inside... which would explain why Galactus was able to destroy St Helens and leave only ruins... #FF

Flashback to my first full time editorial job at Games Workshop in the early 90s, trying to get their Warhammer comic off the ground. For me it wasn't the huge cosmic slugfests and the cosmic back from the dead (again) shenanigans that made the X-Men great, it was moments like this from the classic Paul Smith era.
