DS is like a Pokémon in the best possible way. It's first form is okay, but kind of tame. Then it evolves into a new creature (roads) and things improve. The final evolution (ziplines) is just OP awesome madness.

Nice list! I was obsessed with Detroit for a while; recently revisited and it holds up 🥰.
I humbly suggest two of my favs, Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding. Yes, DS starts as a walking simulator, but once you move to the Central U.S. area, it opens up to an amazing 2nd game. Then a 3rd.
