Pretty sure this is related to Australia's social media ban for people under 16. The fines are pretty significant.

That said, there are still some great systems still out there doing OS work, and I appreciate them keeping their garage door open. There’s always a fight to keep someone from trying to make things private.

Great read. Thanks for sharing. Going private is definitely where the winds are blowing for systems. It’s sad to see some of my favorites hide behind closed doors.

It’s also a curious trend because companies are very happy to draw from the OS well, but they don't feel the same about giving back.

The latest example: Updating packages to use Trusted Providers for publishing. I updated 13 packages one-by-one. But if we had single-component packages, that would have been 80+ to update. No thanks.
