I would love the European Ryder Cup team to get to 10.5 to 3.5 and then just not come out on Sunday in protest.

@norwichbirder.bsky.social any idea what these might be. I think they're on a Tilia sp.

@suillia.bsky.social I promise I won't have questions for all your iRecord verifications of my records but I was looking at this specimen that I thought and you verified as Phaonia subventa.

However, I noticed one side has three posterior bristles on the mid tibia as shown clearly in the last photo

@suillia.bsky.social a few years ago you verified this photo as Musca autumnalis. At the time I was probably taking an inexperienced punt so I'm interested what features let you verify it?

What a majestic and glorious society we would have created where a tiny jumping spider can't hold up 15,000 homes.

@mothiduk.bsky.social is it possible to be confident this is Amblyptilia acanthadactyla rather than A. punctidactyla?

I thought I'd have a look at a Bryophyte for the New Year. I'm thinking this is Syntrichia ruralis rather than S. montana. Does anyone know if I'm correct?

Don't see what's so unacceptable or NIMBYish (though at this point that term has lost all meaning) about his point of view.

And there are examples of this kind of conflict by all political stripes. Isn't it built in to a constituency based democracy?

I've added a few more species to my Flickr. Hope these help with identifications.

You can find them at www.flickr.com/photos/19954...
