We needed to respond not with "this is not true", "we do not believe this", which doesn't work, with a strong offense, "educating" the electorate in a manner working class and other voters can identify with. Watch how trial lawyers communicate to jurors if you want to know how to communicate.

We can do more than one thing at a time. We've been generally poor at messaging, probably in large part seeking to avoid annoying some donors, consultants, constituent groups. Contracted vs expanded. This disaster has been coming for years; we've been shortsighted, blind. No time to f around.

He appears to be talking US Attorneys (one per judicial dist), and not Asst. or Dep. USA's; if so, requesting their resignations is not unusual. T may just trying to sound tough by crudely "firing" them. (I'm a former CA DAG - not the same, but familiar with the M.O.) He's always stirring the pot.
