Also, at the end of season 4, Black Canary is talking about how they need a place where their people can go to recover and take a break from the life. A place where they can get away.

I feel like if the show gets a season 5 🤞 that it might end up being Danny.

Maybe introduce Raven.

Though, honestly it would be cool to have that be in season 6 and to do another large timeskip like the one between seasons 1 and 2, so the little kids like John Kent, Flash's twins and Damian Wayne could grow up.

Despite this relatively minor flaw, Young Justice is still peak and you should watch it.

Especially because that's probably the most effective way to get a season 5, which will almost certainly be a full season Apokolips War plot.

Combine that with his objective skill at making and executing long term plans over years, decades, centuries and millennia, and it actually doesn't make sense that he hasn't succeeded yet.

The entire planet really *should* have been under his control AGES ago.

So, we've got an immortal. One of the first humans. Been alive for over 50,000 years. Has had the singular goal of dominating the planet for most of that time (add dominating the galaxy for the last 800 or so after meeting Darkseid.)

As Lex Luthor says in the finale, The Light always planned to betray the Reach, and the main goal of getting the Reach to invade was to kickstart the evolution of humanity by creating more metas. That objective succeeded.
November 24, 2024 at 1:20 PM
Most of the time the heroes stop a Light plan, The Light still gets their most important objectives accomplished.

Even in season 2, Aqualad disrupting the summit and breaking up the alliance between the Reach and The Light only accelerated their plans.

Almost all of his plans go pretty smoothly, except for when Aqualad and The Team break up his summit with the Reach at the end of season 2.

We know he's behind almost everything with any member of The Light through the whole show.

It's definitely not as unquestionably solid as "sacrificing 25 million people is wrong," but I feel like it'd have been a lot more interesting to have them have to work through that dilemma and decide that they can't abide forcing their mindset on 100 million people.
November 11, 2024 at 3:08 AM
Immediately, the heroes decided that would be too steep a cost, and got back into the fight. Which, I guess is still an "ends don't justify the means" thing, but it didn't feel necessary.

I think "brainwashing is wrong" is a strong enough moral position for them to stand on.
November 11, 2024 at 3:08 AM
However, just as they were starting to question whether they were really on the right side of it, they found out 25% of people would resist the brainwashing so hard it would kill them. So, to achieve that progressive vision, 25 million people would be sacrificed.
November 11, 2024 at 3:08 AM
So, all the heroes are like "Are we sure we're on the right side of this?"

Which could have led to a very interesting conversation about forcing your beliefs on others, and how brainwashing is still unethical.

Like, they could have done an "ends don't justify the means" thing.
November 11, 2024 at 3:08 AM
As the heroes were fighting against this, they discovered the "New Constitution" which was the plan for what they wanted to brainwash everyone with, and it was all positive, progressive policies. Green, renewable energy, an end to discrimination, and universal healthcare were all mentioned.
