A $400 million dollar gift from the Qatarian Royal Family that Trump gets to keep if he leaves the presidency. I’m not surprised but I knew that I lacked the imagination to understand the depth of his ability to take advantage of this office.

I’m reminded of the Seinfeld episode where George negotiated down with the network for their sitcom. When you have the “stink” of desperation to cut any deal I can’t imagine that any good will come out of any current negotiations on trade deals.

The IRS is now “investigating” Harvard at Trumps insistence and I’m sure the outcome is a foregone conclusion. I hope they(republicans) understand that the next president (if there is one)can use this precedence as well and for better reasons.

Now that Trump is even thinking about incarcerating “criminals” in El Salvador and ignoring SCOTUS orders I’m thinking that this last week is actually the worst we’ve had…so far.

Let us hope it’s just unfortunate and tragic but if iwere a conspiracy theorist I would wonder how long it will take to federalize the investigation into the death of the former DA from VA. I’m not but I won’t be surprised if it happens.

I’ve been reading with interest about the Canadian tourism boycott. Firstly good for them even though my state depends on it. Secondly the Stanley Cup is in Toronto not FL so Gov DeSantis should try and be a little less snarky about a country that pumps billions into his state’s economy

I volunteer at a tax aide site. I assisted an elderly native man with a question about an ID theft pin. No way could he navigate the IRS site so we called the help line. We got quick accurate and professional assistance. Under DOGE how long will that last? Good luck to that employee and thanks.

If, as Sen Chuck said, Congress can’t do anything but complain (and they’re doing very little of that) I see a huge savings by eliminating Congress. Do they really think that once Trump is done with whatever he’s doing he’ll give the power back?
