You never know! Our backyard feral Mama Cat (we trapped her + kittens in 2012 for TNR) resisted all human contact for a decade+. Last fall she suddenly turned into a snuggle addict who wonʻt leave me alone whenever I set foot outside! Hope you get to pet your dude one day!

Fun fact: “Smarty” derived from “the smart one” to distinguish him from his identical-ish brother “Nutless” who we caught much more easily for TNR
