Trying to learn rust this year. Any project recommendations? Preferably some where rust really shines. Some I can think of:

Kademlia DHT
Identicon generator
Image Quantizer
File sharing with MDNS discovery

I’ve built these before so I could focus on the syntax while still building something fun!

Decided to put my identicon generator into a package. Will publish a Golang version tonight. Will do a Typescript one later 🎨🆔

Refactored the identicon generator. Supabase edge functions use deno and sharp is not compatible so generating PNGs is not possible. Using SVGs instead. Anyone know of a deno PNG encoder? Would anyone like to see this in a pkg? Could be useful to anyone generating default avatars just like #github

2024 is coming to an end 🎆 My toughest challenge this year? Building a HIPAA-compliant form builder that links forms to PDFs and auto fills them. Tackling both technical complexity and strict compliance was no joke! What was your biggest challenge this year?
