The voting age was lowered to 18 because if you could be drafted you should be able to vote on the people sending you to ‘Nam. I think if you can be forced to give birth or to be tried as an adult on criminal charges, you should be able to vote on people implementing those policies.

Kamala Harris. She said at a book event I went to in Birmingham, Alabama a couple weeks ago that the voting age should be lowered to 16. (I agree for what it’s worth.)
