I bought one in parts last year but didn't yet get to do anything other than completely disassemble it.
And I removed the paint it had on the front to hide the yellowing. Then I started to retrobrighten it, the picture was taken between these two steps.

My whining seems to have been effective. 😜

I just got an email saying that DPD is aware that my Starlight Edition is ready to be picked up in NL.

But I think that it was pure luck that the email didn’t get sorted out as SPAM: the sender is “Standaard” with the address “noreply@sendcloud.com”.

I’ve been checking the page for two weeks now (5th dec.), it’s always and still the same:
“Assembled. In Transit to your Local Commodore Hub.”
If it comes after 23rd dec. I won’t receive it before 7th January because I had it sent to my work address so that I don’t miss it in the seasonal chaos.

Shared? Where? 🤔

But it still hasn't arrived here in Germany. 🙁
Now there are only four working days before Christmas left.

Yeah, at least my Starlight Edition is in transit now! 😃

All my other Commodore-Monitors are some version of 1084, and one Philips iirc.

Maybe because the new C64 Ultimates are just around the corner? And the new owners might want to play some new games too?

I don't need to drink to buy stuff I already have plenty of.
And I don't need Friday evenings to do it.
I just need to see a C64 with a 1541 and an Amiga 500 in a pack for 130,- € on a Thursday evening to instantly buy it.

That'll be 1.5 years later than originally planned but I think I'm still in.

I've seen my share of crazy printer mechanisms from the 70s and 80s but since I never had any Atari back then this is new to me. Cool, but crazy. Even more so that you were able to remake that ribbon. 🥰

That's most of the C64 tapes I own, and all bought only last year.
