I strongly recommend you do not punch ICE officers. They are looking for an excuse to say "riot!" and bring out the troops. I'm not saying they don't deserve it, but everything is being televised.

Do you have an article explaining why? As someone who was 10 at the time, I don't have the strongest grasp of what changed in that moment.

I think Ta-nehasi Coates had an interesting conversation on this when he talked to Extra Klein about Israel. Violent resistant changes you, it changes your movement. If violence becomes your only option, then your movement starts to favor leaders specialize in violence.

We can't give up, just because they might do something we don't expect. Try everything. When 1 approach fails, we try the next and the next. Keep throwing every real, legal solution at this problem. IF we go below legality, than we have already lost.

And voting alone may not be enough. Get others to vote. Help others register. See if your neighbors need help getting to the polls. Knock on doors. How much do you want to see this end? That's how much you should volunteer.

He was really good in Fleabag (in that you hated him completely, but still managed to have empathy for him in a pivotal scene)

I was watching 'stigmata' with friends in his living room (where a dove lands on her hand and then she gits stigmated). Part way through the movie, a bird landed on my stomach and I freaked out (the cat had caught the bird and brought it into the house to play)

We all have to learn to live together... while we rip you from your homes and deport you to another country so we don't have to live with you

Caffeine is probably the 'least' questionable thing I consume. I'm not about to give it up.

I really wanted to love Majora, but I had a lot of trouble finishing it.

I don't have money for games. I have rent, and retirement and kids college accounts that are underfunded. I can afford cheap games on the margins. I would love to spend more to fund the studios i liked, but I generally can't afford more than $15 (and usually spend less than $5).

I would swear this is verbatim from one of the 'audio datapoints' in Horizon: Zero Dawn.

To be fair: it often feels like gambling. Just looked at benefits for next year and it's all a hedge against things I don't have yet. For example: I can only buy extra insurance against cancer if I don't yet have cancer.

Highly recommend the video(s) where Rick Astley got on stage with the Foo Fighters to perform a grunge version. Can't tell if this version has the best sound, but worth watching either way www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9-_...

I grew up near there as well and worked holiday hours at Costco. In the training videos, the owners noted that Washington didn't want them to sell Wine/beer and kept changing the rules, and it was so frustrating that they vowed to make sure their customers never had the same experience.

Is this the evil version from the mirror universe? Or does that make him a good guy in that universe? It's always so confusing.
