Grassley has been on this since 2019, when he was pushing Barr over this stuff, and he supported the discharge petition back in July when it was getting rolling.

I’m more interested to see how Trump stooges (Graham, Moody) and hacks with Presidential ambitions (Hawley, Cruz) respond.

oh wow; hadn't realized he was on board too.

if they've lost Grassley and Kennedy already, I don't know how they think they're going to control this.

Given that Grassley has explicitly supported the discharge petition and 5 members of judiciary are looking at tough races in ‘26, I’m going with “newp.”

not saying the files are going to come out in an expeditious manner. just, trump and johnson and thune are not political geniuses, they've already shown that they're unable to handle this situation or their party on this.

maybe they think they have it in hand now...but stalling it out could be very volatile if trump's approval continues to fall. or if more info about epstein and trump comes out. (and lots of journalists are going to be hyper focused on this.)

hard to see Collins, Murkowski, Tillis, Paul, McConnell wanting to mess around to save Trump. even the very conservative John Kennedy has already made it pretty clear he is not on Trump's side here.

Yep - you can hear it in his voice and rate of speech…as if he is desperate to escape something that is trying to eat him alive…which there is and am here for it. Smarmy little bastard.
