A favourite of my friends. The character designs and art is usually very good, though tough to differentiate at times. Anderson was a treat.
I find that the dark elements feel shoehorned quite often, grit without purpose which ultimately pushes me from enjoying it. 4/10

Catchup: Lupin III Zenigata and The Two Lupins
Oh this looks beautiful. A prequel of sorts to Mamo’s movie (Though with some continuity differences), the gap of nearly 50 years really shows. Zenigata here feels very empathetic, and Lupin feels as good as ever. 8/10

Definitely a product of its time, though the animation holds up fairly well, the humour and characterization reminds you this was made in the 70’s. I respect some of the really artistic scenes, but I definitely like modern Lupin more. 5.5/10

A fairly interesting retelling of the Odyssey, definitely a bit kinder than the original story, but I do like the slimy charisma a lot of the shown pantheon has.
The music is a bit samey usually, but some absolute hits are in there. 7/10
