Taking notes. I had THE most perfect matte red ever, which I bought about 25 seconds before covid put us all into masks, and then had lost by the time we were done wearing masks all the time. And I can't remember the brand.

As a hopefully hopeful counterpoint, I'm leaning in to more creative (or group) assignments, things that include conversations with me at multiple points in the process. fwiw, I'm finding that assignments that convey my interest in students' minds are less like to be phoned in via LLM.
